I agree, but you can say this about the older generation too. If the younger generation has failed or is failing, then the previous generation has failed or is failing. We do not live in a bubble.
Too many young AND too many old folk have addictions to superficial things and not enough conviction for substantial things like justice, truth and love.
I love this commentary. The boomer generation is quick to quote these kinds of ideals, however, the manner in which they have expressed them, driven largely by their self-centeredness and greed, has left us adrift. Occupy Reality, Cornel.
